Ads Manager is your Liftoff workspace to upload, organize, and manage your entire creative inventory in one place. From here, you can check how each creative is delivering, edit details in bulk, attach or detach campaigns, and upload new creatives across your apps.
Manage your creatives
Review and manage creatives
Within the Creative Manager tab in Ads Manager, you can easily search and filter your creative inventory using:
- Name, ID, state, type, dimension
- App, campaign, language, and creation date
In the table, you can see each creative's status, thumbnail, name, ID, type, dimension, language, apps, created date, start date, end date, campaigns, and impact.
Hover over the campaign count in the table to view where each creative is live.
Click the thumbnail to preview each creative in full screen.
Understanding creative status
The Status column in Creative Manager shows how each creative is currently delivering:
- Active: the creative is live and spending
- Paused: the creative is inactive and not spending
- Queued: the creative is enabled, but not serving yet. New creatives are eased in gradually so each gets a fair chance to perform. It will begin serving as capacity opens up; no action is needed
Hover over a status for more detail. For queued creatives, the tooltip shows where the creative sits in the queue for each app it's attached to. If you need to prioritize a creative, reach out to your Account Manager for help.
A creative attached to more than one app can show two statuses at once, for example Active for one app and Queued for another, since each app has its own queue.
Edit creative metadata
Creative metadata can be updated in bulk or individually. To edit:
- Use filters at the top of the page to narrow down creatives
- Select one or more creatives in the table using checkboxes
- Click the Edit button (located next to the + Add button)
The Edit button opens a modal where you can:
- View how many creatives you've selected
- Update the State: Enabled or Paused
- Adjust the Language: Recommended to match the language used in the creative asset
- Set or change the Creative Schedule (Start Date and/or End Date): Add, remove, or replace
- (Optional) Choose the Timezone for your schedule, such as Customer Timezone. Dates in the Creative Manager table always display in UTC, whichever timezone you choose
- If you want to change any additional details after a creative is uploaded, please reupload the creative
After editing, click Review to confirm your changes.
You'll see a receipt of changes where you can remove any edits using the red X icon. Click Submit to apply your updates.
Detach campaigns from creatives
To remove a creative from a specific campaign without affecting where else it runs, you can detach campaigns directly from Creative Manager.
To detach campaigns:
- Select the creative(s) you want to update using the checkboxes in the table
- Click Detach Campaigns
- In the panel that appears, click Expand All to view all campaigns linked to each creative, then select the campaign(s) you want to remove
- Click Summary to review your changes. To undo a selection, click the X next to a campaign on the summary page
- Click Save to apply your changes
This only removes the creative from the selected campaigns. It doesn't pause or change the creative in other campaigns.
Attach creatives to campaigns
To add creatives to more campaigns without re-uploading them, you can attach them directly from Creative Manager.
To attach creatives to campaigns:
- Select the creative(s) you want to update using the checkboxes in the table
- Click Attach Campaigns
- Select the campaign(s) you want to attach. Use the search bar and app filter to narrow results
- Click Review to see a summary of your changes. To adjust, click Back to return to your selections, or click the X next to a campaign to remove it
- Click Save to apply your changes
Important notes on creative management
Certain creatives have restrictions on pausing, detaching, or other edits to protect campaign delivery. Here's what to expect:
- The top-performing creative in a campaign which is marked with a ⭐ star icon in the Impact column. This represents the top-spending creative over the past 14 days. To pause or detach this creative, contact your Account Manager
- The only creative of its ad format in a campaign is marked with a 🔒 lock icon in the Impact column. It can't be paused or detached from that campaign
- Some creatives go through a brief content review to make sure they meet policy standards. It will be enabled once the review is complete, usually within 24 hours
These restrictions help ensure that campaigns continue to serve without interruption. If changes are needed for these creatives, please contact your Account Manager.
Upload your creatives
Process at a glance
- In Creative Manager, click + Add and add your files (browse, drag and drop, Dropbox, or Google Drive)
- Select the assets that share the same details, then fill in the metadata in the panel on the right
- Add any format-specific details (Native, VAST) and mark AI-generated content
- Click Submit for that batch, then repeat for your remaining assets
- Go to Step 2 to preview, then approve or remove creatives
- Approved creatives go live automatically (subject to content review and queue capacity)
Upload creatives
To upload creatives, click the + Add button in the Creative Manager tab. Creatives can be added directly from your computer, or via drag-and-drop. You can also import from Dropbox or Google Drive to select assets directly from your preferred digital asset manager.
Supported file types: PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, MP4, MOV, ZIP
See Creative Guidelines for full asset specifications.
File size limits: 300MB (or 180 seconds) for videos, and 5MB for HTML and ZIP files.
Creative QA
ZIP and HTML files are automatically scanned through a built-in QA process to ensure the functionality of interactive and playable assets. If no CTR event is detected, manually interact by clicking on the CTA or other clickable areas (such as the app icon) to confirm the setup.
Once QA is complete, the metadata fields will populate in the sidebar for input.
Add metadata details
Each creative format requires metadata to support tracking and search functionality. Fields include:
- Size (tablet and/or phone)
-
Creative Name. You can select from the following 6 options:
- Custom Name
- filename
- filename_size
- filename_endcard
- size_liftoff_demo_CID_type_filename
- size_liftoff_demo_CID_type_duration
- App name
- Required parameters & campaigns (after app selection)
- Language
- Status (enabled or paused)
- (Optional) Schedule start and end dates
You're required to disclose content that was generated with AI. In the asset grid, check Add AI label on individual assets, or use Add AI Label at the top of the grid, under the filters, to apply it to multiple assets at once. Accurate input ensures filterability and campaign compatibility.
Note: To select multiple assets, use the checkbox at the bottom right of each asset card. The same metadata will be applied to all selected creatives, so group creatives that should share the same details. Click Submit to apply the metadata to that batch, then repeat for each batch before moving on to the next step.
Format-specific metadata steps
The tool detects the ad format from the file you upload:
- Video files → VAST
- Image files → Static HTML
- 1200×627 or 1200×628 Image files → Image Native
- ZIP → Interactive HTML
Depending on the ad format, you may be asked for extra details. To avoid mixing orientations, you can choose an image that matches the selected video orientation.
HTML (full-interstitials, half-interstitial, interactive):
- Select image files (bulk select via checkboxes)
- Enter required metadata, including AI declaration as needed
- Review for accuracy
- Click Submit
Native:
-
Select image files (bulk select via checkboxes) with industry standard dimensions of 1200x627 or 1200x628.
- Note that this is required for all native creatives; if you plan to use a video, this image will be used as a backup
- Add metadata, CTA copy, description, and title
- Apply AI declaration as needed
- To make this a video creative, select the app and campaigns first. An additional field will then appear towards the bottom of the metadata list, where you can select an existing video. This field is only needed if you want to use a video for your Native ad.
- Review for accuracy
- Click Submit
VAST:
- Select video files (bulk select via checkboxes)
-
Pair with a static endcard. Under the endcard image field, choose one of the options below. Select the last frame from each video uses each video's last frame as its endcard. Other options apply one image to all creatives, using the first video in your selection when the image comes from a video. You can choose from the following 4 options:
- Choose from new images
- Choose from previous uploads
- Select an image from this video
- Select the last frame from this video
- Select the last frame from each video
- (Optional) If you wish to include an interactive endcard, first select the app and campaign. Once both are selected, select an HTML endcard (new or from previous uploads)
- Add required metadata, including AI declaration as needed
- Review for accuracy
- Click Submit
Preview and approve creatives
Once submitted, go to Step 2: Creative Preview to finalize. This page will showcase a summary of all the creatives to be uploaded. Use filters to find and approve individual creatives, or click Approve All to upload the entire batch. If you no longer want to upload a singular creative, click the Reject button to remove it from the list. This action cannot be undone. If you need to reupload a creative, please go back to step 1.
