Your creative launch setup
We launch a mix of video and interactive formats to maximize reach and performance:
- Portrait and landscape videos, each paired with static and interactive endcards
- Interactive interstitials, used both as standalone ads and as endcards to your videos
- Static endcards in portrait and landscape
All creatives are launched in both phone and tablet sizes. Product Ads are also built for you automatically from your Shopify catalog. See Product Ads for eCommerce for details.
Creative themes that perform well
These creative approaches show up often in high-performing eCommerce ads.
- Offers and value props - Highlight clear offers, like limited-time deals or first-order promotions, to create urgency and drive quick engagement from value-driven shoppers.
- Interactive experiences - Swipe, scratch, and one-tap interactions invite shoppers to engage with the ad directly. They work especially well as video endcards.
- UGC - Real people using or reviewing your products in their own words builds credibility and purchase confidence.
- Social proof - Show that other customers already love your product. Multiple testimonials, ratings, or stats like "9 out of 10 customers recommend it" help shoppers feel confident in their purchase.
Creative best practices for eCommerce
What works best
Keep it short. Videos of 60 seconds or less consistently outperform longer ones.
Hook shoppers in the first 3 seconds. Open with your offer, free shipping, or what makes your product unique.
Show your product in action. Feature real, everyday scenarios where your product solves a problem, and show it in use right away. Lifestyle shots outperform plain product photos.
Use clear CTAs. "Shop Now," "Learn More," and "Get Yours" all work well.
What to avoid
Videos over 60 seconds. Shoppers lose interest quickly in mobile ad environments.
Silent videos without subtitles. Ads play muted by default, so your message needs to come through visually.
Generic stock footage. Keep your actual product front and center.
Low-resolution or glitchy assets. These will be rejected during quality review.
Social-first CTAs. Avoid "Follow," "Like," "Subscribe," or "Link in bio." Your ads should drive toward a purchase.
Keeping creatives fresh
Recommended refresh: every 4–6 weeks
Over time, shoppers may start seeing the same ads, and engagement can decline. Swapping in fresh content helps keep performance strong.
- Different opening shots
- Updated offers or pricing
- Seasonal messaging
- New UGC or testimonials
- New product photography
- Seasonal imagery
- Refreshed promotional copy
- Updated brand elements
- Sales or limited-time offers
- New product launches
- Holiday or seasonal campaigns
- Loyalty or referral programs
